Custom Bear Order Guidelines and Policies What to Expect:
- I
will email you to confirm that I received your fur or fabric garment.
Once I have examined your materials, I will confirm your requests and/or
offer suggestions for the best use of your special fur coat or fabrics.
- Your special garment/materials will be handled with the utmost care while in my possession.
- Completion
of your bear could take several weeks depending on my current
workload. Please let me know if you need your order by a certain date.
- Photos
of your completed bear(s) will be emailed to you for review, along with
the final balance including shipping costs. Upon your approval we can
then arrange for your preferred payment (PayPal, money order or check).
Layaway payments can also be arranged.
- Your order will be shipped with insurance no later than 3 days after payment is finalized.

Guidelines & Policies- Quantity
and sizes are estimated and will depend on the cut, design and size of
your fur garment. Bears made from long haired furs generally need to be
14-16" or larger. Short pile furs can yield more bears of a smaller
size. For fabric memory bears, the size bear will be dependent on the supplied garment.
- Due to varying conditions of old fur coats, I recommend
you inspect under the lining to check the condition of the hide before
shipping. Some mealy type granules or flakiness is to be expected, but
beware of cracks or tears in the hide. If the hide is too dry &
brittle, it may not hold up to the bear making process. Please feel
free to contact me if you need help evaluating the condition of your fur
garment.
- A $20 non-refundable deposit is required for each fur
garment shipped to me, which will be used to pay for return shipping if
the fur is found to be unusable. The coat lining may be partially or
fully detached in order for me to evaluate its condition and allow
attempts to restore the hide, and will not be reattached for its return.
- All
custom bears will be shipped and insured via major carrier, whichever
provides the best rate for the shipment's weight, destination and
insured value. I recycle shipping and packing materials to the fullest
extent possible to reduce the cost to the environment and to avoid
charging handling fees.
- All custom bears are final sale. Your
satisfaction if of utmost importance to me and I will not expect payment
until you approve the photos of your completed bear(s).
- If
you find that your bear needs repair within 2 years, I ask that you
contact me about your concern and arrange to ship it back to me. I will
repair it for free and pay for its safe return to you.
